Numbers (South Korean Television Series)

Numbers, also known by its Korean title Buildingsoopui Gamsijadeul, is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC in 2023. The series focuses on the professional and personal challenges faced by employees at a major accounting firm.

Plot

The story follows Jang Ho-Woo, portrayed by Kim Myung-Soo, who secures a position at Taeil Accounting Firm. Despite being the only employee at the firm with only a high school diploma, Ho-Woo is exceptionally intelligent. Throughout the series, he confronts systemic issues and corruption within the corporate environment while striving for justice. He works alongside Han Seung-Jo, played by Choi Jin-Hyuk, an accountant with a prestigious background whose father serves as a vice president at the same firm.

Production

The series was directed by Kim Chil-Bong and written by Jung An and Oh Hye-Seok. It consists of 12 episodes and was broadcast on MBC on Friday and Saturday nights at 21:50. The show premiered on June 23, 2023, and concluded on July 29, 2023. It occupied the time slot previously held by Joseon Attorney: A Morality and was succeeded by My Dearest.

For lead actor Kim Myung-Soo, Numbers marked his first acting role following the completion of his mandatory military service on August 21, 2022.
