Nanako Matsushima (Japanese: 松嶋 菜々子) is a prominent Japanese actress and model. Born on October 13, 1973, in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan, she stands 172 cm tall and has blood type A. Over a career spanning multiple decades, Matsushima has established herself as one of the most recognizable figures in Japanese cinema and television.

Film Career
Matsushima gained widespread international and domestic recognition for her role as Reiko Asakawa in the landmark 1998 horror film Ring, as well as its sequel Ring 2 (1999). Her extensive cinematic portfolio includes appearances in features such as Whiteout (2000), The Inugamis (2006), Bizan (2007), Ghost (2010), Shield of Straw (2013), and Studio Ghibli's animated film When Marnie Was There (2014), where she provided the voice for Yoriko.
Television Work
In addition to her film credits, Matsushima has starred in numerous high-profile television drama series.
