Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori

Nami Uraraka ni, Meoto Biyori is a Japanese television drama series that aired on Fuji TV from April 24 to June 26, 2025. The series consists of 10 episodes and was broadcast in the network's Thursday 22:00 time slot. The drama is based on the webcomic of the same name by Hachi Nishiga, which was first published on October 14, 2022, via Comic Days.

Plot

Set in 1936, the story follows Natsumi, the third of four daughters in the Sekiya family. Her life changes abruptly when her father announces her arranged marriage to Takimasa Ebata, an officer in the Imperial Japanese Navy. Having had no prior romantic experience or contact with Takimasa, Natsumi finds herself in an unexpected situation. Due to his naval training commitments, Takimasa is unable to attend their wedding ceremony, leading Natsumi to marry in his absence using his photograph. Following his training, the couple meets for the first time. Natsumi initially struggles with Takimasa's reserved nature, but as she supports him in their domestic life, she begins to understand his character and their relationship gradually develops.

Production

The series was directed by Shin Hirano with a screenplay by Yoko Izumisawa. It occupied the Thursday 22:00 time slot on Fuji TV, succeeding Japan's Number One Jerk Salaryman and preceding Learning to Love.
