My Strange Hero
My Strange Hero (Korean: 복수가 돌아왔다; RR: Boksooga Dolawadda), also known by its literal title Bok-Su's Back, is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from December 10, 2018, to February 4, 2019. The series consists of 32 episodes, broadcast in the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot.
Plot
The story follows Kang Bok-su (Yoo Seung-ho), who was expelled from his high school after being falsely accused of committing violence. The incident was orchestrated by his first love, Son Soo-jeong (Jo Bo-ah), and a fellow student, Oh Se-ho (Kwak Dong-yeon). Years later, as an adult, Bok-su returns to the same high school as a student to seek revenge. Upon his return, he finds that the school environment has changed significantly, leading him to become involved in a series of unexpected events.
Production
The drama was directed by Ham Joon-ho and written by Kim Yoon-young. The first script reading for the series took place on October 8, 2018, at the SBS Ilsan Production Studios in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The series occupied the Monday and Tuesday 22:00 time slot on SBS, following The Hymn of Death, and was succeeded by Haechi on February 11, 2019.
