My Sister, The Pig Lady (Korean: 돼지 같은 여자; RR: Dwaeji Gateun Yeoja) is a 2015 South Korean drama film written and directed by Jang Moon-il. The film explores the lives of residents in a struggling coastal village.
Plot
The story is set in a rural village that was once prosperous due to its hairtail fishing industry. As fish stocks have dwindled, the local economy has declined, leading many residents to leave the area. The narrative centers on the remaining inhabitants, specifically focusing on three single women—Jae-Hwa, Mi-Ja, and Yoo-Ja—who compete for the attention of the village's only eligible bachelor, Joon-Sub.
Production
Principal photography for the film took place in Yeosu, South Korea. Filming commenced on October 10, 2012, and concluded on December 3, 2012.
