My Only One (South Korean TV Series)

My Only One (Korean: 하나뿐인 내편; RR: Hanappoonin Naepyeon) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from September 15, 2018, to March 17, 2019. The series was directed by Hong Seok-Ku and written by Kim Sa-Kyung.

Plot

The story follows Kim Do-Ran (played by Uee), a woman with a resilient and positive personality despite facing significant financial hardships. While studying to become a public officer, her life takes an unexpected turn when her biological father, Kang Soo-Il (played by Choi Soo-Jong), reappears after 28 years of separation. The narrative explores the complexities of their reunion and the subsequent impact on Do-Ran's life.

Production

The series was broadcast in the Saturday and Sunday 19:55 time slot on KBS2. It succeeded the drama Marry Me Now? and was followed by Mother of Mine in March 2019. During its development, the project was known by the working title Areumdawoon Nae Pyeon (translated as My Beautiful Ally). The production marked the return of lead actor Lee Jang-Woo to television acting following his military discharge in January 2018.
