My Husband Got a Family
My Husband Got a Family, also known by its literal title You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly, is a South Korean television drama series that aired on KBS2 from February 25 to September 9, 2012. The series consists of 58 episodes and was broadcast during the network's Saturday and Sunday 19:55 time slot.
Plot Overview
The story centers on Cha Yoon-Hee (Kim Nam-Joo), a successful television drama director who seeks a marriage free from the traditional burdens of in-laws. She marries Terry Kang (Yu Jun-Sang), a surgeon who was adopted by a Korean couple in the United States as a child and has no recollection of his biological family. Yoon-Hee believes she has found the ideal partner to avoid familial complications.
The narrative shifts when Yoon-Hee is forced to move due to a lease issue and inadvertently rents a home owned by the family of her husband's biological parents. The plot explores the tension between Yoon-Hee's desire for independence and the reality of integrating into a large, traditional family, particularly as the mother, Chung-Ae (Youn Yuh-Jung), continues to search for the son she lost decades earlier.

Production
The series was directed by Kim Hyung-Suk and written by Park Ji-Eun. The initial working title for the project was Look At Me Gwi-Nam. The first script reading for the cast took place at the KBS Annex Building in Seoul on January 25, 2012.
The drama occupied the time slot previously held by Ojakgyo Family and was followed by My Daughter Seo-Young. During its run, the series featured a notable cameo by actress Shin Se-Kyung in episode 49, which aired on August 11, 2012. The scene, filmed on August 6, 2012, at the KBS broadcasting station, featured Shin interacting with actor Kwak Dong-Yeon. Her appearance was facilitated by her friendship with lead actor Yu Jun-Sang, as both were represented by the agency Namoo Actors.
