My Holo Love (Korean: 나 홀로 그대; RR: Na Hollo Geudae) is a South Korean television series released on Netflix on February 7, 2020. The series, directed by Lee Sang-Yeob and written by Ryoo Yong-Jae, consists of 12 episodes and explores themes of human-AI interaction and emotional connection.

Plot

The story follows Han So-Yeon (Ko Sung-Hee), a woman who suffers from prosopagnosia, a condition that prevents her from recognizing faces. As a result of her condition, she maintains a reclusive lifestyle to avoid social interactions. Her life changes when she becomes a beta tester for a cutting-edge artificial intelligence hologram named Holo.

Holo is designed to be a perfect companion, but as he interacts with So-Yeon, he begins to experience limitations inherent to his programming. The AI was developed by Ko Nan-Do (Yoon Hyun-Min), a brilliant but socially isolated programmer. While Holo and Nan-Do share an identical physical appearance, their personalities are distinct. As Nan-Do observes the developing bond between So-Yeon and his creation, he begins to experience emotions he had previously suppressed.
