My Heart Twinkle Twinkle (Korean: 내 마음 반짝반짝; RR: Nae Maeum Banjjakbanjjak) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from January 17 to April 12, 2015. The series, directed by Oh Se-Gang and written by Jo Jung-Sun, consists of 26 episodes and was broadcast in the Saturday and Sunday 22:00 time slot.

Plot

The story centers on three sisters and their father, who operates a modest chicken restaurant named Jinsim. After the death of their mother, the eldest daughter, Soon-Jin (Jang Shin-Young), takes on the responsibility of caring for her father and her two younger sisters, Soon-Soo (Lee Tae-Im) and Soon-Jung (Nam Bo-Ra). The family's life is complicated by the influence of Woon-Tak (Bae Soo-Bin), the owner of a major chicken restaurant franchise. Woon-Tak harbors feelings for Soon-Jin, but their relationship is strained by a long-standing conflict between their families. Following the death of her father, Soon-Jin unknowingly marries Woon-Tak, unaware of his connection to her father's passing.

Production

The series was originally developed under the working title Jangsaui Shin Lee Soong-Jung, which translates to "Lee Soon Jung, the Goddess of Sales." During the pre-production phase, actors Kim Jung-Eun and Kim Soo-Ro were initially cast in lead roles but withdrew from the project before filming commenced. The drama occupied the SBS weekend time slot previously held by Birth of a Beauty and was succeeded by Divorce Lawyer in Love.
