The series is based on the webcomic Geunomeun Heukyeomryong by author Hyejinyang, which was serialized on Naver between September 23, 1999, and March 8, 2021. The television adaptation was directed by Lee Soo-Hyun with a screenplay by Kim Soo-Yeon.
Plot
The story follows Baek Soo-Jung (Mun Ka-Young), a high-performing leader of a planning team at Yongsung Department Store. Her professional life intersects with her past when she encounters Ban Joo-Yeon (Choi Hyun-Wook), the successor to the department store who joins the company as the director of the strategic planning division.
The two share a history dating back 16 years to their teenage years, when they interacted through an online game. During that time, Ban Joo-Yeon used the username "Black Salt Dragon," while Baek Soo-Jung used the handle "Strawberry." Their past relationship ended abruptly after a failed confession, leaving a lasting impression on both. Reunited in a professional setting, the two must navigate their complicated history while working together.
