My Dearest (2023 South Korean Television Series)
My Dearest (Korean: 연인; RR: Yeonin) is a South Korean television series that aired on MBC in 2023. Directed by Kim Sung-Yong and written by Hwang Jin-Young, the drama is set against the backdrop of the Qing invasion of Joseon, which occurred between January and February 1637.
The narrative centers on the lives of two individuals whose paths cross during a period of significant national upheaval. Lee Jang-Hyun (played by Namkoong Min) is a mysterious figure who enters society with a cheerful facade, concealing a dark and complex secret. His life is transformed after he encounters Yoo Gil-Chae (played by Ahn Eun-Jin), the daughter of a noble family known for her confidence. As the characters navigate the hardships of the war, the series depicts their evolving relationship and personal growth.

The first part of the series consisted of 10 episodes and aired from August 4 to September 2, 2023, in the Friday and Saturday 21:50 time slot on MBC. It succeeded the drama Numbers. A continuation, titled My Dearest Part 2, premiered on October 13, 2023.
