Murder Report (2025)

Murder Report (Korean: 살인자 리포트; RR: Salinja Report) is a South Korean thriller film directed by Cho Young-Jun. The film, which features a runtime of 107 minutes, is scheduled for release on September 5, 2025, with distribution handled by Sony Pictures and A2Z Entertainment.

Plot

The story follows Baek Seon-Ju (played by Cho Yeo-Jeong), a journalist seeking a major career-defining scoop. She is approached by Lee Yeong-Hun (played by Jung Sung-Il), a psychiatrist who identifies himself as a serial killer and requests an exclusive interview. Seon-Ju agrees to meet him at a hotel suite to conduct the interview.

As the conversation progresses, Lee Yeong-Hun reveals that his history of violence originated from his experiences treating a patient. Seon-Ju soon realizes that the situation is far more dangerous than she anticipated and attempts to leave. However, Lee Yeong-Hun warns her that if she terminates the interview prematurely, another murder will occur.

Production

The film was written and directed by Cho Young-Jun, with production managed by Kim Yong-Sun. Cinematography was handled by Park Byeong-Kyu. Principal photography for the project commenced on July 17, 2023, and concluded on September 27, 2023.
