Mothers (2020 South Korean TV Movie)

Mothers, also known by its literal title Going Out (Korean: 외출; RR: Oechul), is a two-episode South Korean television drama that aired on the network tvN in May 2020. The production was directed by Jang Jung-do and written by Ryu Bo-ri.

Plot

The story centers on Han Jung-eun (played by Han Hye-jin), who has been married to radio station producer Lee Woo-cheol (Kim Tae-hoon) for 14 years. The couple has a young daughter. To assist with childcare and household management, Jung-eun's mother, Choi Soon-ok (Cha Mi-kyung), moves to Seoul. The family's life is upended by a sudden tragedy, forcing Jung-eun and her mother to confront the painful truths surrounding the event.

The series aired on May 4 and May 5, 2020, in the Monday and Tuesday 21:00 time slot on tvN. It followed the conclusion of A Piece of Your Mind and preceded the premiere of My Unfamiliar Family on June 1, 2020.
