The series, directed by Kim Jong-Chang and written by Jo Jung-Sun, explores the complex dynamics between a mother and her three adult daughters.

Plot
The story centers on Park Sun-Ja, a woman who has raised her three daughters—Mi-Sun, Mi-Ri, and Mi-Hye—while operating a small beef soup restaurant. As the daughters reach adulthood, they face various personal and professional challenges. The eldest, Mi-Sun, balances the demands of marriage and motherhood with her career. The second daughter, Mi-Ri, is a confident professional who becomes involved in a romantic relationship with a co-worker, Han Tae-Joo, the son of a wealthy family. The youngest, Mi-Hye, is a former novelist who assists her mother in the family restaurant.

Mother of Mine was broadcast in the Saturday and Sunday 19:55 time slot on KBS2. It succeeded the drama My Only One and was followed by Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life, which premiered on September 28, 2019.
