Plot

The story follows Ryu Hae-kuk (Park Hae-il), who travels to a remote, reclusive village to attend the funeral of his estranged father. During his stay, Hae-kuk begins to investigate the circumstances surrounding his father's death, eventually uncovering a web of secrets and a potential conspiracy involving the villagers. As he delves deeper, he faces hostility from the residents and enters into a tense confrontation with the village leader, Cheon Yong-deok (Jung Jae-young).

Production

Production for Moss commenced on August 29, 2009. A significant portion of the film, estimated at 80% to 90%, was shot on a custom-built set representing the village in Muju County, South Korea. This set was designed to be repurposed for the Taekwondo Park, which was under construction in the same county at the time.
