Money (Korean: 돈; RR: Don) is a 2019 South Korean crime thriller film written and directed by Park Noo-ri. The film explores the cutthroat environment of the South Korean stock market, centering on a young broker who becomes entangled in a dangerous financial scheme.

Plot

The story follows Jo Il-hyun (Ryu Jun-yeol), a novice stockbroker whose primary ambition is to achieve financial success. His career takes a dramatic turn when he is introduced to a mysterious and influential stock market manipulator known as "Beonhopyo" (Yoo Ji-tae). Drawn by the prospect of immense wealth, Il-hyun agrees to assist in a series of illicit stock transactions. As his wealth grows, he attracts the attention of Han Ji-cheol (Jo Woo-jin), a persistent investigator from the Financial Supervisory Service who has been tracking Beonhopyo for years.

Production

The film was written and directed by Park Noo-ri. Principal photography for Money commenced on May 12, 2017, and concluded on August 29, 2017. The film was distributed by Showbox and released in South Korea on March 20, 2019.
