Misty (2018 South Korean Television Series)

Misty (Korean: 미스티) is a South Korean television series that aired on JTBC from February 2 to March 24, 2018. The drama, directed by Mo Wan-il and written by Je-in, follows the life of a successful news anchor who becomes the primary suspect in a murder investigation.

Plot

Go Hye-ran (played by Kim Nam-joo) is a prominent and ambitious anchorwoman for a prime-time news program. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she is named as a suspect in a murder case. Her husband, Kang Tae-wook (played by Ji Jin-hee), a former prosecutor who currently works as a public defender, decides to represent her. As the legal proceedings unfold, the couple's strained marriage faces intense scrutiny and emotional challenges.

Production

The first script reading for the series took place in October 2017 at the JTBC building in Sangam, Seoul. The show occupied the Friday and Saturday 23:00 time slot on JTBC, following the conclusion of Untouchable and preceding Something in the Rain.

Awards

Kim Nam-joo received the Best Actress award at the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2018 for her performance in the series.
