Mistress is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network OCN in 2018. The drama, which consists of 12 episodes, was broadcast on Saturdays and Sundays at 22:20, running from April 28 to June 3, 2018. It is a remake of the British television series Mistresses, which originally aired on BBC One starting in 2008.
Plot
The series follows the lives of four female friends in their 30s who find themselves entangled in a series of mysterious murders. The narrative begins with the women discovering a dead body, an event that serves as the catalyst for the unraveling of their secrets. The story explores their individual struggles, including the disappearance of a husband, secret affairs, and professional complications.
Production
The production was directed by Han Ji-Seung, with a screenplay written by Go Jung-Woon and Kim Jin-Wook. The first script reading for the series took place on March 15, 2018, at Studio Dragon in Sangam-dong, Seoul. The series occupied the OCN time slot previously held by Children of a Lesser God and was succeeded by Life on Mars.
