Missing Noir M

Missing Noir M (Korean: 실종느와르 M; RR: Siljongneuwareu M) is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network OCN in 2015. The crime drama consists of 10 episodes and focuses on the operations of a specialized police unit dedicated to high-stakes missing persons cases involving violent crime.

Premise

The series follows Gil Soo-Hyun, a highly intelligent investigator who attended Harvard University at a young age and spent a decade working for the FBI in the United States. Upon returning to South Korea, he leads the Special Missing Persons Unit. He is joined by Detective Oh Dae-Young, a veteran with 20 years of experience and a strict adherence to legal procedure. Together, they investigate cases that fall within the top 1% of missing persons reports, often involving complex criminal elements.

Production

The series was directed by Lee Seung-Young and written by Lee Yoo-Jin. During its development, the show was referred to by the working title Teuksoosiljongjundamban M (Special Missing Persons Unit M). It premiered on OCN on March 28, 2015, and concluded on May 30, 2015. The program occupied the Saturday 23:00 time slot, succeeding the series Bad Guys and preceding My Beautiful Bride.
