Missing Nine (South Korean Television Series)
Missing Nine is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from January 18 to March 9, 2017. The series, which consists of 16 episodes, was broadcast in the Wednesday and Thursday 22:00 time slot. The plot centers on nine individuals from Legend Entertainment who are involved in a mysterious plane crash while traveling to a concert. The survivors find themselves stranded on a deserted island, and the narrative follows their struggle for survival and the subsequent investigation after one survivor, Ra Bong-Hee, returns to South Korea four months later.

Production
The series underwent several changes during its development phase. Early working titles for the project included Gaia, Picnic, and Missing 9. The screenplay was initially assigned to writer Kim Ban-Di, but the role was later taken over by Han Jung-Hoon. The casting process also involved various negotiations; actor Kang Ha-Neul was initially offered the lead male role but declined due to scheduling conflicts. Similarly, Kwon Yuri, Hyeri, and Jung Yu-Mi were offered the lead female role before declining. Ultimately, Jung Kyoung-Ho and Baek Jin-Hee were cast in the lead roles.
