Miss Korea (South Korean TV series)
Miss Korea is a South Korean television drama series that aired on MBC from December 18, 2013, to February 26, 2014. The series was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 21:55. It was directed by Kwon Seok-Jang and written by Seo Sook-Hyang, marking a reunion for the director, writer, and lead actor Lee Sun-Kyun, who had previously collaborated on the 2010 drama Pasta.

Plot
Set in 1997, the story follows a struggling cosmetics company facing severe financial difficulties. To save the business, Kim Hyung-Joon (played by Lee Sun-Kyun) and his employees devise a plan to transform Oh Ji-Young (played by Lee Yeon-Hee) into a contestant for the Miss Korea beauty pageant. Oh Ji-Young, once the most popular student in her high school, is currently working as an elevator girl.
Production
The production held its first script reading on November 8, 2013, at the Ilsan MBC Dream Centre. The series occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 21:55 time slot on MBC, following the conclusion of Medical Top Team and preceding Cunning Single Lady.
