Mirage (2012 South Korean Film)

Mirage (Korean: 밀월도 가는 길; RR: Milwoldo Ganeun Gil) is a 2012 South Korean independent drama film written and directed by Yang Jung-Ho. The film was produced by KAFA Films and distributed by CJ Entertainment.

Plot

The story follows Dong-Jo, a novelist who recently achieved success after winning a literary prize for his work about Milwol Island, a location associated with mysterious disappearances. Following a night of celebration, Dong-Jo finds himself on a subway train. Upon visiting a lost and found center, he discovers a red backpack he had lost during his high school years. This discovery triggers a series of memories, leading him to reconnect with friends from his past, including Ki-Jung, who had provided the inspiration for his award-winning novel.

Production

The film was produced under the auspices of the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA). Principal photography for the project took place between January and February 2011.
