Plot

The narrative centers on Pil-je, a low-level gangster tasked with clearing out residents from a slum neighborhood to facilitate the construction of a modern apartment complex. As he attempts to intimidate the locals into vacating their homes, he becomes increasingly entangled in their daily struggles. Over time, his mission shifts as he develops personal connections with the residents, eventually finding himself assisting them rather than forcing them out. A significant portion of his transformation is influenced by his relationship with Myung-ran, a determined young woman training to be a professional boxer.
