Mika Omori
Mika Omori (Japanese: 大森 美香; born March 6, 1972) is a prominent Japanese screenwriter and director.

Early Life and Career Background
Omori was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, on March 6, 1972. She graduated from Aoyama Gakuin Women's Junior College. Following her education, she worked briefly in the Tokyo Bureau of Nagoya Broadcasting Network before transitioning to Fuji Television Network, Inc. as an assistant director within their drama production division.
Screenwriting and Directing Career
In 1998, Omori made her professional debut as both a screenwriter and director with the late-night television drama Bishojo H: 17-Sai no Kiroku. She subsequently established a career as a freelance writer and director, working across major Japanese television networks including Fuji Television, Tokyo Broadcasting System (TBS), NHK, and TV Asahi.
Throughout her career, Omori has penned numerous well-known television series and films. Notable television writing credits include Kabachitare!, Lunch Queen, Kimi wa Pet, Buzzer Beat, Asa ga Kita, and Seiten wo Tsuke. Her film directorial and writing work includes projects such as Koibumi Biyori and Nibanme no Kanojo.
Awards and Recognition
In 2005, Omori received widespread critical acclaim and won the prestigious Mukoda Kuniko Award—recognized as a top honor for Japanese screenwriters—for her work on the Fuji Television series Fukigen na Jean.
