Midnight (2021 South Korean Film)

Midnight is a 2021 South Korean thriller film written and directed by Kwon Oh-Seung. The narrative centers on Kyung-Mi, a deaf woman working as a sign language counselor at a call center, who becomes the target of a serial killer named Do-Sik after witnessing one of his crimes on the streets of Seoul.

Production

Principal photography for Midnight commenced in September 2019 and concluded by the end of that year. Although the film was initially scheduled for a theatrical release in the first half of 2020, the production faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was eventually released on June 30, 2021, through both theatrical distribution and the South Korean streaming platform TVING.
