Midas (2011 South Korean Television Series)
Midas is a South Korean television drama series that aired on SBS from February 22, 2011, to May 3, 2011. The series explores the competitive and complex world of corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A). It was directed by Kang Shin-Hyo and Lee Chang-Min, with a screenplay written by Choi Wan-Kyu.

Plot Synopsis
The narrative follows Kim Do-Hyun (Jang Hyuk), a talented fund manager who graduated from a top university. Despite his professional success, Do-Hyun struggles with feelings of insecurity due to his humble family background. Driven by an acute awareness of the power of wealth, he seeks more prestigious and lucrative opportunities.
His path crosses with Yoo In-Hye (Kim Hee-Ae), the president of a hedge fund. In-Hye belongs to a wealthy family with a complex history rooted in the post-Korean War era, having built their fortune through the underground economy. Meanwhile, Lee Jung-Yeon (Lee Min-Jung), Do-Hyun's girlfriend of six years, represents a different perspective on life, valuing family and emotional connection over the financial ambitions that consume Do-Hyun.

Production and Broadcast
Midas consisted of 21 episodes and occupied the Monday and Tuesday 21:55 time slot on SBS. It followed the conclusion of Athena: Goddess of War and was succeeded by Lie to Me. The series features a large ensemble cast, including No Min-Woo as Yoo Myung-Joon, Cheon Ho-Jin as Choi Kook-Hwan, and Kim Sung-Kyum as Yoo Pil-Sang.
