Metamorphosis (2019 South Korean Film)

Metamorphosis (Korean: 변신; RR: Byeonshin) is a 2019 South Korean horror-thriller film directed by Kim Hong-sun. The film centers on a family that experiences supernatural disturbances after moving into a new home, where they are targeted by a malevolent entity capable of shapeshifting into human form.

Plot

The story follows Gang-Goo (Sung Dong-il) and his wife Myung-Joo (Jang Young-nam), who move into a new house with their three children: Sun-Woo (Kim Hye-jun), Hyun-Joo (Cho Yi-hyun), and Woo-Jong (Kim Kang-hoon). Shortly after settling in, the family begins to suffer from bizarre and terrifying events. They soon realize that a demonic entity is infiltrating their home by assuming the physical appearance of various family members, sowing distrust and chaos. Desperate for salvation, the eldest daughter, Sun-Woo, reaches out to her uncle, Joong-Soo (Bae Sung-woo), a Catholic priest experienced in performing exorcisms.
