Meow: The Secret Boy
Meow: The Secret Boy (Korean: 어서와; RR: Eoseowa) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from March 25 to April 30, 2020. The drama, which spans 24 episodes, is a fantasy romance based on the webcomic Eoseowa by Go A-ra, originally serialized on Naver Webtoon between 2009 and 2010.
Production
The series was directed by Ji Byung-hyun with a screenplay by Joo Hwa-mi. During its development phase, the project was known by the working title Sikbbang Goobneun Namja, which translates to Man Who Bakes Bread. The initial script reading for the production took place in October 2019 at the KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea.
Plot
The story follows Kim Sol-a (Shin Ye-eun), a woman in her mid-20s working at a graphic design firm who aspires to become a webcomic artist. Her life changes when she takes in a cat named Hong-jo (Kim Myung-soo). Unbeknownst to Sol-a, Hong-jo possesses the supernatural ability to transform into a human being. As they live together, the pair becomes entangled in various unexpected situations.
