Memorist (South Korean Television Series)

Memorist is a South Korean television series that aired on the cable network tvN from March 11 to April 30, 2020. The thriller-mystery drama consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 22:50. The series is based on the webcomic of the same name by Jae Hoo, which was serialized on Daum Webtoon from October 15, 2016, to January 20, 2018.

Plot

The story follows Dong Baek, a man who discovers he possesses a supernatural ability to read the memories of others through physical touch. After revealing his power to the public, he becomes a detective dedicated to apprehending criminals. The narrative centers on his investigation into a series of mysterious murders.

Production

The series was directed by Kim Whee and So Jae-Hyun, with a screenplay written by Ahn Do-Ha and Hwang Ha-Na. The production held its first script reading on December 2, 2019, in South Korea. Memorist occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 22:50 time slot on tvN, following the conclusion of Money Game and preceding the premiere of Oh My Baby.
