Plot

Set during the Goryeo Dynasty, the story follows three warriors who lead a rebellion. The narrative is set in motion by the betrayal of Deok-ki (Lee Byung-hun), which results in the death of their comrade, Poong-chun (Bae Soo-bin). Following the incident, Seol-rang (Jeon Do-yeon) refuses to join Deok-ki and flees with Poong-chun's sword and his infant daughter.

Eighteen years later, Seol-rang, now blind, trains the young woman, Seol-hee (Kim Go-eun), in the art of swordsmanship to seek vengeance. During this time, Deok-ki has risen to become one of the most powerful figures in the nation, setting the stage for a violent confrontation.
