Production

The production underwent several changes during its development phase. The drama was originally titled Gyejibaedeul (literally "Those Girls"), which was later changed to Yeongwangui Gwihwan (literally "The Queen Returns") before the final title Me Too, Flower! was selected.

Casting adjustments were also required prior to the start of the series. Actor Kim Jae-Won was initially cast in the male lead role of Seo Jae-Hee. However, on October 4, 2011, during the first day of filming, Kim Jae-Won sustained an injury while operating a moped that accidentally accelerated. Following medical advice to undergo surgery and rest for several weeks, Kim Jae-Won withdrew from the project. Actor Yoon Si-Yoon was subsequently cast as his replacement.
