Masked Prosecutor
Masked Prosecutor (Korean: 복면검사; RR: Bokmyeongeomsa) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from May 20 to July 9, 2015. The drama consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 21:55.
Plot
The series follows Ha Dae-cheol, a prosecutor who maintains a dual identity. By day, he adheres to the law, but by night, he dons a mask to deliver vigilante justice to criminals who escape the reach of the legal system. His path frequently crosses with Yoo Min-hee, a dedicated detective leading the violent crimes division.
Production
The series was directed by Jeon San and written by Choi Jin-won. The initial script reading for the cast took place on April 18, 2015. During the pre-production phase, actor On Joo-wan was originally cast to play the character Kang Hyun-woong. However, he withdrew from the project in late April 2015 due to health reasons and fatigue, and was subsequently replaced by Uhm Ki-joon.
