Masayuki Suzuki (Japanese Director)

Masayuki Suzuki (鈴木雅之) is a Japanese film and television director. Born on September 6, 1958, in Tokyo, Japan, he has built a prolific career primarily directing television dramas and feature films, largely in collaboration with major networks such as Fuji TV.

Directing Career

Suzuki has directed numerous notable film and television productions throughout his career. His cinematic work includes feature films such as GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka (1999), Nin x Nin: Ninja Hattori-kun, the Movie (2004), Hero (2007), Princess Toyotomi (2011), Honnouji Hotel (2017), Masquerade Hotel (2019), Masquerade Night (2021), Radiation House (2022), and Yudo (2023).

In television, Suzuki has helmed many prominent drama series and television movies, particularly for Fuji TV. His television directing credits include Shiratori Reiko de Gozaimasu! (1993), King's Restaurant (1995), Long Vacation (1996), Power Office Girls (1998), Hero (2001), When I Fall in Love (2005), Konkatsu! (2009), Priceless (2012), Radiation House (2019), My Ex-Boyfriend's Last Will (2022), One Day: Wonderful Christmas Eve (2023), and Usotoki Rhetoric (2024).
