Maou (2008 TV Series)
Maou (Japanese: 魔王) is a Japanese television drama series that aired on the TBS network from July 4 to September 12, 2008. The series consists of 11 episodes and is a remake of the 2007 South Korean drama The Lucifer.

Plot
The story centers on the confrontation between two men with dark pasts. Ryo Naruse, played by Satoshi Ohno, is a highly intelligent lawyer known as the "Angelic lawyer" for his ability to win difficult cases. Beneath his professional exterior, he harbors a secret life dedicated to seeking revenge for the death of his younger brother, which occurred 11 years prior.
His antagonist is Naoto Serizawa, portrayed by Toma Ikuta, a passionate detective with a high arrest rate. Naoto's intense hatred for criminals often complicates his investigative work. The conflict escalates when Naoto receives a mysterious tarot card, followed shortly by the murder of his father's lawyer. The presence of a matching tarot card at the crime scene links the events, initiating a complex game of vengeance.
