Man Who Sets the Table (Korean: 밥상 차리는 남자; RR: Babsang Charineun Namja) is a South Korean television drama series that aired on the MBC network. The series consists of 50 episodes and was broadcast from September 2, 2017, to March 18, 2018, in the Sunday 20:45 time slot.

Production

The series was directed by Joo Sung-Woo and written by Park Hyeon-Ju. Production activities began in June 2017, with the first script reading held that month. Filming commenced in late June 2017, with location shooting conducted in Guam.

The series occupied the MBC Sunday 20:45 time slot, succeeding the drama You Are Too Much. Following its conclusion, the time slot was taken over by The Rich Son on March 25, 2018.

Plot

The story follows Lee Roo-Ri (played by Sooyoung), who struggles to secure employment at a major company and faces a strained relationship with her strict father. Seeking a change in her life, she travels abroad, where she encounters Jung Tae-Yang (played by On Joo-Wan). Tae-Yang is a traveler who prioritizes personal happiness and lives by the YOLO (You Only Live Once) motto, though he hides his own emotional vulnerabilities. Their meeting serves as a turning point for Lee Roo-Ri.
