Man of Will (2017 Film)
Man of Will (Korean: 대장 김창수; RR: Daejang Kimchangsoo) is a 2017 South Korean historical drama film directed by Lee Won-Tae. The film dramatizes the early life of Kim Koo, a prominent figure in the Korean independence movement who later became a key political leader and reunification activist.

Plot
The narrative centers on the young Kim Chang-Soo (played by Cho Jin-Woong), who is imprisoned after being charged with the murder of a Japanese individual involved in the assassination of Empress Myeongseong. While incarcerated, Kim experiences the systemic persecution of his fellow Koreans, a process that shapes his transition into a dedicated fighter for national independence.
Production
The project, which explores the formative years of the man who would later adopt the name Kim Koo in 1912, began its formal production phase with a script reading and traditional gosa ceremony on October 31, 2016. Principal photography commenced on November 7, 2016, and concluded on January 31, 2017. The film features actor Song Seung-Heon in his first role as a villain.
