Man of Men (Korean: 퍼펙트 맨; RR: Peopekteu Maen) is a 2019 South Korean comedy-drama film written and directed by Yong-Soo. The film explores the unlikely friendship between a terminally ill lawyer and a small-time gangster, serving as a South Korean adaptation of the 2011 French film The Intouchables.

Plot

The story follows Jang-Soo (played by Sul Kyung-Gu), a successful lawyer at a prestigious firm who receives a terminal medical diagnosis. His life intersects with Young-Ki (played by Cho Jin-Woong), a gangster struggling with his own life goals while performing court-ordered community service. Jang-Soo proposes a financial arrangement to Young-Ki: in exchange for helping him complete his personal bucket list, Jang-Soo will provide him with a significant sum of money.

Production

The film was produced and distributed by Showbox. Principal photography for Man of Men commenced on November 1, 2018, and concluded on January 21, 2019. The film was released in South Korea on October 2, 2019, with a total runtime of 117 minutes.
