Malice (2016 South Korean Film)
Malice (Korean: 멜리스; RR: Maelriseu) is a 2016 South Korean horror-thriller film directed and written by Kim Yong-Woon. The film centers on the psychological unraveling of a woman who becomes pathologically obsessed with the seemingly perfect life of an old high school acquaintance.

Plot
The story follows Ga-In (played by Hong Soo-A), who struggles with significant financial hardship following her college years. Her life takes a dark turn when she reconnects with Eun-Jung (Lim Seong-Eon), a former classmate from high school. While Ga-In faces mounting personal difficulties, Eun-Jung appears to lead an enviable life, characterized by a stable career and a happy marriage. As Ga-In's envy deepens, her feelings manifest into a dangerous obsession, leading her to attempt to assume Eun-Jung's identity.
Production and Release
The film was produced by Hong Myung-Ki and features cinematography by Lee Kyung-Joo. Malice held its world premiere at the 19th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan) in July 2015. It was subsequently released in South Korean theaters on February 11, 2016, with a total runtime of 98 minutes. The film was distributed by Dreamfact Entertainment.
