Mad Dog (South Korean TV series)

Mad Dog (Korean: 매드독; RR: Maedeudok) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from October 11 to November 30, 2017. The crime thriller drama consists of 16 episodes and was broadcast on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 22:00.

Plot

The series follows Choi Kang-woo, a former police detective who transitions into a career as a veteran insurance investigator. He leads a specialized team known as the "Mad Dog" team, which is dedicated to uncovering and exposing complex insurance fraud cases.

Production and Reception

The series was directed by Hwang Ui-kyung and written by Kim Soo-jin. It occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 22:00 time slot on KBS2, following the conclusion of Manhole and preceding Black Knight: The Man Who Guards Me. At the 2017 KBS Drama Awards, Woo Do-hwan received the award for Best New Actor, and Choi Won-young was recognized as Best Supporting Actor.
