Lucid Dream (2017 film)

Lucid Dream (Korean: 루시드 드림; RR: Loosideu Deurim) is a 2017 South Korean science fiction thriller film directed by Kim Joon-Sung. The film explores the premise of using lucid dreaming technology to recover lost memories and solve crimes.

Plot

The story follows Choi Dae-Ho, a man whose son was kidnapped three years prior. Despite the passage of time, he remains determined to find his child. Dae-Ho eventually discovers a method to access his subconscious through a specialized form of lucid dreaming, which allows him to revisit the memories of the day his son disappeared to uncover vital clues.

Production

The film was written by Kim Joon-Sung and Lee Young-Jong. Principal photography for Lucid Dream commenced on April 6, 2015, and concluded on June 29, 2015. Filming locations included the area in front of the Namhae Catholic Church in Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk Province, South Korea.
