Plot

The story follows Ko Eun-nim, a young woman struggling to support her impoverished family and her chronically ill father while preparing for her teacher certification examination. In a desperate attempt to secure financial stability, she agrees to become a surrogate mother for Baek Se-hun. Her life becomes complicated when she later meets and falls in love with Se-hun's younger brother, Baek Kang-ho.

Simultaneously, the narrative explores the internal conflicts of the Baek family. Baek Kang-ho discovers that he is the son of a mistress, a revelation that forces him to re-evaluate his relationship with his family and understand the underlying dynamics that led to his mother's favoritism toward his older brother.
