Loving You is a South Korean television drama series that aired on the KBS network in 2002. Directed by Lee Gun-joon and written by Kim Jong-hyeon, the series consists of 12 episodes and was broadcast from July 29 to September 3, 2002.
Plot
The story is set primarily on Jeju Island. The narrative follows Da-rae, a young woman who assumes the role of head of her family following the death of her father and her mother's health complications. She crosses paths with Hyuk, a man concealing his background as the heir to a chaebol conglomerate while working as a farm laborer. The two characters meet during a maritime emergency, where they save one another. As their relationship develops, they face challenges stemming from their disparate social backgrounds, ultimately focusing on themes of personal agency and emotional resilience.
