Lovely Horribly

Lovely Horribly (Korean: 러블리 호러블리; RR: Reobeulli Horeobeulli) is a South Korean television series that aired on KBS2 from August 13 to October 2, 2018. The series blends elements of romantic comedy and horror, centering on the interconnected fates of two individuals born at the same time.

Plot

The story follows Philip Yoo, played by Park Si-Hoo, and Oh Eul-Soon, portrayed by Song Ji-Hyo. Despite being born at the same moment, their lives have taken drastically different paths. Philip is a successful top star who experiences consistent good luck, while Eul-Soon is a struggling screenwriter plagued by perpetual misfortune. Their lives become deeply intertwined when they begin collaborating on a drama series, leading to a series of mysterious and supernatural occurrences.

Production

The drama was directed by Kang Min-Kyung and Ji Byung-Hyun, with the screenplay written by Park Min-Joo. The first script reading was held on June 1, 2018, at the KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. The series consisted of 32 episodes, airing on Monday and Tuesday nights at 22:00. It occupied the time slot previously held by Are You Human? and was succeeded by Matrimonial Chaos.
