Love Story (1999 South Korean TV Series)

Love Story (Korean: 러브스토리) is a South Korean anthology drama series that aired on SBS from December 1, 1999, to January 27, 2000. The series consists of 16 episodes, organized into eight distinct romantic segments, each spanning two episodes. The production was directed by Lee Kang-Hoon and written by Song Ji-Na.

Format and Structure

The series follows an anthology format, presenting a different narrative in each two-episode block. This structure allowed for a rotating cast of prominent South Korean actors and actresses throughout the series' run.

  • Sunflower (Dec 1–2, 1999): Starring Lee Byung-Hun, Lee Seung-Yeon, and Kim Sun-A.
  • Message (Dec 8–9, 1999): Starring Song Seung-Heon, Choi Ji-Woo, Cha Seung-Won, Lee Na-Young, and Lee Beom-Soo.
  • Lost Baggage (Dec 15–16, 1999): Starring Heo Jun-Ho, Song Yoon-A, Han Go-Eun, and Yoo Ji-Tae.
  • Open Ended (Dec 22–23, 1999): Starring Lee Mi-Yeon, Lee Min-Woo, and Jennifer Lee.
  • Rose (Jan 5–6, 2000): Starring Kim Tae-Yeon, Lee Kyoung-Young, Kim Jung-Hyun, and Jeong Dong-Hwan.
  • Miss Hip-pop & Mr Rock (Jan 12–13, 2000): Starring Shin Sung-Woo, Bae Doo-Na, and So Ji-Sub.
  • Insomnia, Manual and Orange Juice (Jan 19–20, 2000): Starring Kim Hyun-Joo, Kwon Oh-Jung, and Yoon Ki-Won.
  • Host of Memory (Jan 26–27, 2000): Starring Kim Tae-Woo, Park Sang-A, and Song Seon-Mi.
