Love is for Suckers (Korean: 얼어죽을 연애따위; RR: Eoleojookeul Yeonaeddawi) is a South Korean television series that aired in 2022. The romantic comedy drama was broadcast on the ENA network, with episodes airing on Wednesday and Thursday nights at 21:00.

Plot

The series follows the professional and personal life of Goo Yeo-reum (played by Lee Da-hee), a television producer who has spent a decade working on variety shows. Faced with a career crisis due to the cancellation of her programs, she takes on a new project, a reality dating show titled Kingdom of Love. To assist his longtime friend of over 20 years, Park Jae-hoon (played by Choi Si-won), a plastic surgeon who has become disillusioned with both his career and his personal life, joins the cast of the reality show. As they collaborate on the production, their long-standing friendship begins to evolve into a romantic relationship.

Production and Broadcast

The series was directed by Choi Kyoo-sik and written by Kim Sol-ji. It premiered on October 5, 2022, and concluded its 16-episode run on December 1, 2022. The show occupied the Wednesday and Thursday 21:00 time slot on ENA, following the conclusion of Good Job and preceding Unlock My Boss.

During its broadcast, the network implemented a one-week delay for episodes 9 and 10, which were originally scheduled for November 2 and 3, 2022. This decision was made in observance of the national mourning period following the Itaewon crowd crush in Seoul on October 29, 2022.
