Lost, also known by its literal title No Longer Human or Human Disqualification (Korean: 인간실격), is a South Korean television drama series that aired on JTBC in 2021. Directed by Hur Jin-ho and written by Kim Ji-hye, the series explores the lives of two individuals struggling with their sense of purpose and identity.

Plot

The narrative centers on a 40-year-old woman working as a ghostwriter who feels she has achieved nothing of significance in her life, leading to a profound existential crisis. Her path crosses with a 27-year-old man who works in a service role and harbors a deep-seated fear that he will never amount to anything. Together, they navigate their shared feelings of inadequacy and the search for meaning.

The series was broadcast on JTBC's Saturday and Sunday 22:30 time slot. It premiered on September 4, 2021, and concluded its 16-episode run on October 24, 2021. It succeeded the drama Nevertheless in its time slot and was followed by Inspector Koo.
