Looking for My Wife (2010 Film)

Looking for My Wife (Korean: 집나온 남자들; RR: Jipnaon Namjadeul) is a 2010 South Korean comedy film written and directed by Lee Ha. The film follows a music critic who embarks on a journey to locate his wife after she leaves home.

Plot

Seong-hee (Ji Jin-hee), a prominent music critic, discovers that his wife, Young-shim (Kim Gyu-ri), has left him. Armed only with a goodbye letter and a decade-old cell phone, he begins a search to find her. He is accompanied by his friend Dong-min (Yang Ik-june), an aspiring filmmaker who shares a past connection with Young-shim. As their journey progresses, they are joined by a man claiming to be Seong-hee's brother, Yu Kwak (Lee Moon-sik). The search leads the men into unexpected situations as they uncover new information about Young-shim's life.

Production

The film was produced by Sponge and distributed by Sidus Pictures. Principal photography commenced on August 28, 2009, with a scheduled three-month shooting period. Production took place across various locations in South Korea, including Seoul, Jeonju, and Donghae.
