Long Live the King: Mokpo Hero
Long Live the King: Mokpo Hero (Korean: 롱 리브 더 킹: 목포 영웅) is a 2019 South Korean action-drama film directed by Kang Yoon-Sung. The film is based on the webcomic series Long Live the King by Beodeunamoosoop, which was first published on January 9, 2015.

Plot
The story follows Jang Se-Chool (Kim Rae-Won), a powerful gangster boss. His life changes after he meets lawyer Kang So-Hyun (Won Jin-A) during a protest where local merchants are opposing the redevelopment of a traditional market. After falling in love with her, Jang attempts to improve his public image. Kang, however, initially views him as a common thug and challenges him to become a better person. Seeking to change his path, Jang consults with a respected politician, Hwang Bo-Yoon (Choi Moo-Sung). Jang eventually gains public acclaim as a hero after saving a bus driver during a dramatic accident on a bridge. Following an attack on his mentor, Hwang Bo-Yoon, Jang decides to enter the political arena by running for a seat in the National Assembly.

Production
The film was directed by Kang Yoon-Sung, who also contributed to the screenplay. Principal photography for the project commenced on October 9, 2018, and concluded on January 12, 2019. The film was distributed by Megabox Plus M and Contents Nandakinda.
