Life Risking Romance (Korean: 목숨 건 연애; RR: Moksoom Gun Yeonae) is a 2016 South Korean romantic comedy film directed by Song Min-Gyu. The film blends elements of mystery and thriller with romantic comedy tropes, centering on a novelist who becomes involved in a serial killer investigation.

Plot

The story follows Je-In, played by Ha Ji-Won, a mystery novel writer who is determined to catch a serial killer. She works alongside her longtime friend, Seol Rok-Hwan (Chun Jung-Myung), a police detective. Their investigation takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of Jason, a mysterious and attractive man portrayed by Chen Bolin.

Production

The film was produced by Park Joon-Sik and Jang Won-Suk, with cinematography by Lee Hyung-Bin. Principal photography for the project commenced on September 6, 2015, in the Itaewon district of Seoul, South Korea. Filming concluded on December 5, 2015. The film was distributed by Opus Pictures and released in South Korea on December 14, 2016, with a total runtime of 103 minutes.
