Life on Mars (2018 South Korean TV Series)
Life on Mars is a South Korean television series that aired on the OCN network in 2018. The show is a remake of the British television series of the same name, which originally aired on BBC One from 2006 to 2007. The Korean adaptation follows the story of a modern-day detective who finds himself transported back to 1988 after an accident.

Plot
The series centers on Han Tae-joo (played by Jung Kyoung-ho), a highly skilled crime investigation team leader who prioritizes data and evidence over human intuition. While pursuing a serial murder case, he suffers an accident and wakes up in 1988. Disoriented and trapped in the past, he is appointed as a detective at a local police station. To return to his own time, he must solve the serial murder case that links his current reality to his past.
Production
The series was directed by Lee Jung-hyo and written by Lee Dae-il. The project marked a reunion for actor Jung Kyoung-ho and director Lee Jung-hyo, who had previously collaborated on the JTBC drama Heartless City. The first script reading for the production took place on March 12, 2018, at Studio Dragon in Sangam-dong, Seoul.
The show aired on OCN's Saturday and Sunday 22:20 time slot, succeeding the drama Mistress and preceding Voice 2. During the production, the broadcast schedule for episodes 9 and 10 was adjusted; originally slated for July 7 and 8, 2018, they were rescheduled to July 14 and 15, 2018, to provide the production team with additional filming time.
